Is the character Regional Scout in the E! program “Scouted” actually author Ann Patchett, or the mother from “Home Alone,” or actress Laura Linney? The familiarity of her face makes this show hard to follow. Then the New York City characters come in with their eyes, and their foreheads and manicures and we are back in business. The business of the fantasy of being examined in a non-clinical but still chilling way and being made to feel excited about something that we are not totally excited about because to be ~16-22 is to be numb! Numb!
